Bijou Theatre 217 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC

Opened by 1902, the Bijou Theatre was upstairs, at the back of a grand arcade, and the Gaiety Theatre was downstairs in the front of the building.

By 1911 they were showing films. In 1920 only the Gaiety Theatre was still open and that had closed by the late-1920’s.

It was demolished in 1934.
