The Admission Price Issue for Those Entering the Teenage Years (1956)
Source: Motion Picture Herald, April 14, 1956. Some of us who were entering adolescence had to either pay a higher admission when we turned twelve or be asked their birthdate. After we all turned teenagers we outgrew the children matinees and went downtown to see first-run movies.
