The Marquam Grand is seen here to the left of the brand new Eilers Building, on the corner of Broadway and Alder in 1912. A narrow vertical sign for the Orpheum (as the Marquam Grand was known since 1908) can be seen between the buildings. The Marquam Building, to the right of the Eilers Building, suffered catastrophic structural failure in November, 1912, and was pulled down in 1913. The Eilers Building is still in place, although the ground and second floor facades have been remodeled.
