Roma Cinema 255 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC

The Roma Cinema was opened in January 1966. It began as an art house cinema. The Melbourne premiere of “Cool Hand Luke” starring Paul Newman was held here in 1968. Later playing soft-core porn, it ended its days as a move-over house for Hoyts Theatres. It was closed in March 1984.
