Regal Cinema Barnstable
House Full for the Regal with all 875 seats taken on opening night Monday 30th August 1937 to watch the official opening of the Regal at 7.30 pm by the Mayor of Barnstable. Film screened for opening, Alexander Korda Production ‘Fire Over England’ was well received. As viewed in the photograph above most of the cars in Barnstable must have been parked in the Strand on that balmy night.
