TRIBUTE - RON WEST’S LIFE CELEBRATION

Following the passing of Ron West, Team Majestic would like to inform the community that there will be a celebration of Ron’s life at the Majestic Theatre Pomona on May 9th 2026.

At 12 noon we will screen the movie “Son of the Sheik” which was the first silent film that Ron presented at the theatre over 40 years ago. Resident organist Chris Rose will accompany the movie on the Linnett Family 1937 Compton Organ.

After the movie commencing at 3pm we will celebrate Ron’s life. We welcome all the community to come along and raise a glass to Ron, swop stories and pay tribute to this amazing human being who gave us all so much of himself.

In closing we would like to send a huge thank you out to everybody who sent their condolences on his passing with a special mention to the lovely person/s who laid the reef on the steps of the Majestic in his memory, to the Cooran Corner Store for the lovely farewell message on their outside blackboard and to all the media outlets who paid tribute to him. He was truly loved by his community and will be remembered forever so come and celebrate his life with us and his family.
