“Vic’s Pictures” was an early open-air and indoor cinema operation that screened films in Fremantle in the 1910s. Run by entrepreneur Victor J. Newton, it primarily operated out of the historic Fremantle Town Hall on William Street and at other pop-up venues around the area before closing its doors around 1919.
Because “Vic’s Pictures” dates back to the early days of cinema in Western Australia, its historical programs are preserved as archival documents. You can view the original show bills and programs in the Fremantle History Centre collection.
