In the early morning of March 3, 1940, the day of “The Fighting 69th” showings, fire wipes out half a block of downtown knocking the marquee off of the front of the Minonk. In the middle ad, they come back one week later. And just for good measure at right, they rescheduled “The Fighting 69th” without incident.
