‘The King & I’ played at the long closed ‘Fox Theatre’ in San Francisco Ca using a separate magnetic sound 6 track in sync machine. This was the only theatre around the SF Bay Area playing this stereo sound system. Shot in ‘CinemaScope 55’ but only projected on the Fox’s huge semi curved screen in 35mm scope. Must have looked and sounded great in 1956. See the stereo wording in this ad from my ‘Terry Photo’ movie collection. I think the new ‘Blu Ray’ copy has the 6 track stereo version If 2oth Century Fox kept It?
