Photograph of the new 1921 interior of the Picture House auditorium decorated with large Venetian murals beyond fluted columns supporting gilded capitals with acanthus leaf scrolls and depicting gondolas on blue lagoons. Architect J. Owen Jones engaged Bryan’s Adamanta, Francis Street, Birmingham to decorate the whole interior of the new Picture House and their Head Artist George W. W. Legg completed these huge murals in situ. Surviving works by this artist which were restored 2011-2012 can be seen in the auditorium of the Regal cinema Tenbury Wells.
