You have to admit, Ethel Folsom gave you notice 1) that the theatre was closing on October 5th, 1980 as she and Steve were retiring at the end of the theatre’s 50 years of leasing; 2) that the last film there would be “Brubaker” and 3) if you wanted to take it on, you had to contact them quickly. By April of 1981, they had given up selling the seats to the Spring Opera House in Minnesota. The Pottsville Pharmacy moved across the street after remodeling in October of 1981.
