“Mutiny on the Bounty” (1935) opened a record breaking seven week run at the St James 19 February 1936. Mexican actress Movita (1916-2015) played the Tahitian love interest in this maritime epic and was its last surviving cast member. In 1960 she married Marlon Brando (1924-2004) who was about to film MGM’s new version of the story. Then in 1962 Brando married its lead actress Tarita (born 1941) who is now the last surviving major cast member of that re-make.
