Elvis played three shows on Tuesday, August 7, 1956, at 3:30pm, 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Also, on this day, Elvis was famously quoted by Paul Wilder as saying ‘I never was a lady killer in high school. I had my share of dates, but that’s all’. This ad played before films shown in the Florida theater leading up to August 7 to promote the performances.

His recent single release of ‘Hound Dog’ / ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ has sold over a million copies in two weeks, and he now has four Gold records including his debut album Elvis Presley.
