Popular Broadcasting Organist Reginald Foort appeared in a special stage presentation for the opening of the new Conacher Organ one of only nine ever built by Peter Conacher Ltd. Foort was Musical Director for the County circuit and Technical Advisor for the Peter Conacher Organ Company for three years 1933 -1935. After touring the country during WW2 Foort decided to visit the USA to work in 1952, where Foort and his family eventually settled permanently and remained in California until his death in 1980 aged 87.

Of the nine Conacher organs ever built only one has survived. This was saved from the Forum cinema Coventry, built and opened on the 1st November 1934 by the Philpot Circuit and at present undergoing restoration by the East Midlands Cinema Organ Association and have worked hard to once again have the Conacher playing with its illuminated console.
