Sid Pink was born in Pittsburgh, in 1916. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in business administration. He first worked as a projectionist in a movie theatre owned by his wife’s family. He worked for years building and managing theatres. Pink entered the movie industry as an associate producer on “Bwana Devil.” In 1959, he produced “The Angry Red Planet.” He co-produced and co-directed the American version of “Reptilicus.” Pink co-produced, co-directed and wrote “Journey to the Seventh Planet” in 1962. In 1965, he co-wrote and directed the spaghetti western, “Finger on the Trigger.” Pink produced the Dustin Hoffman film, “Madigan’s Millions”, in 1968. In the 1970’s he built and owned movie theatres in the southeastern United States. Pink died at age 86, in Pompano Beach, Florida. Source: Motion Picture Herald, February 1, 1936 and Wikipedia
