Located in the trendy Sydney inner city district of Paddington at the corner of Oatley Road and Oxford Street. The Chauvel Cinema is located in the historic Paddington Town Hall building, which was built in 1891.
The Chauvel Cinema opened in 1977 with one screen and operates from the former ballroom of the building. A second screen was added in 1995. This is an art house cinema screening classic and cinematheque type programs in addition to film festivals - Notes by Lost Memory
