It’s the first talkie theater for Chatham - the Pilot Theatre. It opens here on October 19, 1929, with “The Rainbow Man.” It closed and found new operators in April of 1931. Fire gutted the venue on October 14, 1932 ejected the Pilot. It moved to temporary digs under the Chatham Theatre.
