Following a refurbishment in 1956. When I used to relieve there many years later the festoon had been replaced with gold tabs and the glass ceiling fittings had been replaced by two HUGE chandeliers manufactured by H F Pride and Co.

Another beautiful auditorium, its grandeur and hard working staff lost to the UK heritage ..what’s wrong with this country? So sad :(
