The Curzon today
The Liberty Theatre was opened around 1914. It became the Newsreel Theatre from 1st January 1943. Reverting back to the Liberty Theatre by 1951, it was operated by the Hoyts Theatres chain.
Its final years of operation came in the 1960’s when it was re-named Curzon Theatre, screening foreign films.
