Poitier had two new films in 1975; the July opening of “The Wilby Conspiracy” co-starring Michael Caine, at RKO Palace and the October opening of “Let’s Do It Again” co-starring Bill Cosby, at the Southern and Loews Arlington. Poitier also directed “Let’s Do It Again”. Poitier’s director of “Lilies of the Field”, Ralph Nelson also directed him in “The Wilby Conspiracy.” “Let’s Do It Again” also benefited from the title song by the Staple Singers which went all the way to number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
