Plaza Twin Cinemas originally opened with forward-thinking amenities, like the “Crying Room”. This room was soundproof and separate from the rest of the theater. Surround sound was installed in the room. Legend has it that the room had to be closed off because of teenagers using it for other purposes. Date unkn, possibly 1990 or 1991.
