From my movie newspaper ad collection from 1945 a Oakland Tribune movie listing for the ‘Fox Grand Lake Theatre’. The ‘Grand Lake’ always had way smaller ads then the Fox Oakland or Paramount Theatres in downtown Oakland not too far away. The ‘Grand’ played many movies after they left the big downtown Fox cinemas but the ‘Grand Lake’ was almost just as big.
