I’m glad I saw this here at the time. Google: “This is a highly-rated but often forgotten psychological thriller directed by Robert Enrico. It features a score by the legendary composer Ennio Morricone.”
If not the first, it was one of the first films I ever saw at the Cable Car. A few months after it opened.
