Skyline Drive - in Theatre, Blacktown, Cricketers Arms Road, Prospect.

Skyline Drive-in Theatre, later known as Blacktown Twin Drive-in, changed back to its original name in 2013. When opened in 1963, it was the largest drive-in theatre in NSW. The drive-in, with room for 720 cars, was the first to be equipped with 70mm projection. A second screen was later added. The original Field 1 screen in the image was the largest in NSW until demolished in 2012 to make way for the Azura Hotel. A new, smaller screen replaced it.

The drive-in is used for Sunday markets. This photograph has been taken looking toward the ticketing booths.“
