Operation Crossbow premiered at the Empire Theater Leicester Square, London where it was presented in 70mm. In the U.S. it was only shown in 35mm. Operation Crossbow was a huge hit in Great Britian,where the people who lived through the WW2 Blitz knew what it was all about. In the U.S it did not do as well,and in 1966 it was re-released as “Great Spy Mission.
