One of the most elegant theatres in the country. Ceiling dome and detail is wonderful.
Of all the theatres on NY why ever did they take this one down?
Why the Roxy or Paramount or State or Brooklyn Fox? It is was always about than as it is now – The Benjamins . Art means nothing . NYC has lost so much over the years. Times Square is a big tourist trap. Anything that made it special or unique is long gone. By the way, I live in NYC and see how it has changed over the years and not for the better.
I agree completely with WilliamMcQuade. These idiot tourists who are drawn to a place that lives on a name only, everything that made Times Square so famous and the World centre of entertainment has gone. In fact so much that made the city a legendary place has now disappeared, it’s a case of plenty of outward show with little or no substance.
