The Globe Theatre and adjacent outdoor theater in Narrandera, New South Wales, were historic picture theater’s located on Bolton Street (initially built at another site before a 1925 fire) that later reopened as the Plaza Theatre.
The first Globe Theatre and adjacent outdoor theater stood near East Street before being destroyed by a fire in 1925. The Owner Nicholas Laurantus rebuilt the venue on Bolton Street, with the new Globe Theatre opening in 1927.
A second fire damaged the building on June 1, 1934; it was repaired and reopened on October 31, 1934, as the Plaza Theatre Narrandera. CinemaScope equipment was installed in 1955, expanding its capacity to over 1,000 seats. The Plaza theater closed down in 1983.
