Perhaps you would be interested Vik in helping other member’s to land mark the Ridgewood theatre. Photo’s of the Ridgewood theatre would be a big help in achieving that status.

Perhaps the land mark process should go forward. That could make the theatre less desirable to other potential buyers. That could also give ALtheFilmguy an edge in obtaining the theatre.

Perhaps we should all attend the horror fest at the Lafayette theatre. How far is Suffern New York from midtown Manhattan?

Two horror movies available on dvd that I have never seen or heard of before fella’s. Both movies involve nudist camps. The first movie is titled ‘The Beast that Killed Women’ 1965 directed by Barry Mahon. A gorilla runs around a Miami nudist colony killing people. The second title is ‘The Monster of Camp Sunshine’ 1964. Toxic waste is released into a river. A man in the nudist camp drinks the water and turns into a monster. The second movie is better then the first. Unfortunately BrooklynJim they are both in full screen.

‘warrenthewimp’ feel free to verify the address of Theatair X. You will find that the address is accurate. Unlike the incorrect addresses given on many theatre listings by you fella; this address is correct. I do not patronize porn theatres. I also do not discriminate against them as you do. haha

Repeats are your new forte' aren’t they fella. Do you have permission to alter these photos? Perhaps the photos are copyrighted or someone’s intellectual property and should not be tampered with.

Very cool. I must buy that dvd. This Island Earth receives far less attention then War of the Worlds and Forbidden Planet. In my opinion fella’s This Island Earth is the better of these 3 movies. The next year Jeff Morrow could be seen in the Creature Walks Among Us. Only two years prior to This Island Earth; Jeff Morrow was in the Robe. That is diversity.

‘warrenthewimp’ you appear to be homophobic. Any theatre that does not meet your criteria should be removed from Cinema Treasures. You pretend to be a theatre historian. In reality your just a trouble maker with a few theatre reference books at your disposal. Any person with a library card could equal or exceed your contributions if they so desired. Perhaps you should seek out a book on personality disorders instead of theatre history.

Perhaps the best way to communicate with you is to lower myself to your infantile level. If other members post duplicate data you make snide remarks aimed towards them. Isn’t that true ‘art’ or ‘warren’ or whatever your name is today? The webmaster may allow you to be condescending and obnoxious towards other members but as individual human beings we do not have to accept your behavior. If you call me names again I will respond in kind.

The Parthenon theater opened in February, 1921. It was owned by Herman Weingarten. posted by Lost Memory on Aug 21, 2004 at 4:34pm. Perhaps new details would be more informative. Rehashing already known facts are a waste of time and space. Repeating details consume as much space as bilge comments; right fella.

haha I am not interested in pilates or yoga myself. Lifting a can of beer gives a great workout. No need to spend additional money on classes.

I used the Google search engine sviola. For a search string enter Capitol Theatre Port Chester, NY bands. The search results will return many pages with bands that performed at the Capitol Theatre.

Perhaps there was smoke damage from the fire. The interior could have been painted at that time.

Perhaps on your next visit to the RKO Madison theatre you could take some photos Smore. If that is permissible with management of course.

That would be great Smore. NativeForestHiller said that we need recent photo’s. Perhaps you could take a good quality photo of the bottom of the marquee. I would like to see a photo that shows the missing piece on the right hand side more clearly.

Another incorrect address given fella? Perhaps in the future you should give the street name only. Allow more knowledgeable people to find the correct address for you.

The House That Dripped Blood is another British horror movie fella’s. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing together again. This isn’t as good a movie as the Frankenstein or Dracula movies with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing but still worth watching.

I do not wish to start a debate ziggy but I would like to be clear on your position. Do I understand you to say that the abrasive comments and condescending attitude of Warren is acceptable so long as he provides photos? If that is the case I must disagree with you. Viewing a theatre photo is not worth being insulted or demeaned. This is a statement made by Warren ‘This is the last time that I will answer questions posed by members hiding behind pseudonyms. Until they come forward and identify themselves, they do not exist.’ Since your name on Cinema Treasures is a pseudonym ziggy you do not exist according to Warren. Should Warren reply to your comment he would then be contradicting himself and speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Interesting situation; don’t you agree.

We already deciphered the address fella. Your visit to the site gave you an opportunity to inhale some fresh air. It appears that the fresh air had no effect. EdSolero and lostmemory did the difficult work of finding the correct address before you even considered visiting the former Hobart theatre. You enjoy taking the credit fella how about taking the blame for your mistake in the first place.

mikemorano
mikemorano commented about Hobart Theatre on Sep 20, 2006 at 11:21 am

The original address that you gave fella was incorrect. Thanks to the Cub Scouts of Cinema Treasures we now have a more accurate address for this former theater. An address that places the building on the correct side of the street. Perhaps you could explain to us Cub Scouts the meaning of ‘descredit’. Could that be a Latin word for wrong?

Dracula: Prince of Darkness featuring Christopher Lee and Barbara Shelley. Very cool movie. British horror movies were some of the best ever made. I have looked at the newspaperarchive.com website. Each search I tried returned me to the Norwalk Reflector newspaper. Perhaps the free search only returns results from the Norwalk Reflector newspaper. A month to month subscription is about $10. I am very skeptical of this service.

The Othello featuring Sir Laurence Olivier and Maggie Smith was the best version ever released. Not to sound racist fella’s but Othello would not draw a large black audience in 1966. Many white people would shy away from this movie also.
