The fast-growing Rand Theater Circuit out of Little Rock was trying to build 300 screens in a quick expansion in Dallas. This nondescript multiplex in the Garden Park Shopping Center made it to completion launching on July 15, 1988. But bankruptcy and charges against the company ended its run in 1990 as other theaters including Rand’s Bachman Lake were scrapped.

As Rand was forced out, new operators Hollywood Theaters faced competition from the nearby Trans-Texas Vista Ridge Movies 8, the UA Lakepointe 10 and the Cinemark Vista Ridge 12 inside of the Vista Ridge Mall forcing it to discount status. Final operator Silver Cinema operated the sub-run discount house against the superior TransTexas turned Cinemark discount house not far away struggling to its closure on March 27, 1997. The 10-screener was converted to church usage by NorthShore Church.

As a Rand operation, the Garden Park Cinema 10 was closed by local authorities due to back tax evasion on October 7, 1989. Appears to have closed for good by Silver Cinemas as the Super Saver 10 on March 27, 1997.
