The Echo is featured as a participant in the first “Paramount Week” promotion in 1918. The ad was placed in the September 1, 1918 Sunday Oregonian newspaper. The theater’s location is noted as “East 37th and Hawthorne Ave.” While the Echo was built on 37th, the entrance was through the Frances Building, which occupied the full corner.
