This little movie theater in Cerro Gordo in listed as being in operation in the 1945 Film Daily Yearbook, with seating for 180. Any additional information on the Crest Theatre would be appreciated.

The Crest Theatre opened on 7th August 1941 with Abbott & Costello in “Buck Privates”. It closed on 4th May 1957 and is now in use as offices for the Cerro Gordo Building and Loan.
As a child I attended several movies at the Crest during the 1954-57 years. I remember seeing Francis The Talking Mule there and that the back rows,at least,were folding chairs. nstone240
