We used to go here as a family when I was little. I think I remember a playground at some point. I continued to go there for years, with various friends and boyfriends. In the 80’s, we also used to set up a booth at the swap meet on the weekends. We were there the last night it was open, to see Deep Impact. I went with my high school boyfriend, his wife and my husband, sort of like blending the old and the new.

I saw my first drive-in movie there in 1973. It was the “The Exorcist.” Me and my buddy sat on a cement block outside the car cause we were with parents that were arguing. I was 7 years old. Note: there was a playground down near the screen. I went there many more times over the years…

I worked here briefly over the summer of 1988. I cut the grass and such. Mr. Harvey was a great manager.

My wife and I went to the final night of this drive-in in 1998. We saw Deep Impact.

Think I saw “Towering Inferno” here as a little kid, maybe I was five? Saw “Pulp Fiction” on a date in the 90’s. (Also at North Springs Drafthouse, saw multiple times.)

Screen was kinda small. Not the glory of the good ol Glenwood!

i went to the drive several times, and of course the flea market on Sunday mornings, I am sorry that I missed the grand closing of this drive in, I heard that it was fantastic.

A closer address is 3265 Northeast Expy Access, Chamblee, GA.

Today, the Regal Hollywood Theater Complex sits on the property with no trace of the drive-in remaining. Although the general shape of the property still retains the fan-shaped look of the drive-in.
