The Groveland Theater opened in 1914 as the Douglas Theater. In 1934, the Douglas Theater was reopened as the Groveland Theater. The Groveland Theater was listed as (Closed) in the 1935 & 1936 editions of Film Daily Yearbook. The theater building was eventually demolished in 1952.
