Sundown Drive-In

The Sundown Drive-In was opened in 1950. It was located on the north side of town on Nashville Highway. In 1955 it was operated by H.P. Vinson. The Sundown Drive-In was closed in the late-1980’s. All that remains of the theatre to date is the really neat marquee.

The son of the original Sundown owners rescued the sign, moved it to a nearby field, and restored it to its original cool, quirky glory. Great photo here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/27313808@N00/30224548771/
