Washington Theatre

Located at the corner of Washington Avenue and Palmer Street. Opened as the Community Theatre, by 1926 it had been renamed Washington Theatre. The Washington Theatre was closed in December 1957.

In 1973 I found a casket company at this site. In 1983, Rick Bachelder’s Filmet film color lab was there. In was demolished around 2017-2018 and by 2019 it is a grassed over vacant plot of land with a natural slope down from the avenue.

If you check Google Street View you can see that this theatre was demolished sometime between July 2017 and October 2018.
