Kinema

Located in Hampton, today to the western part of Greater London. The Electric Theatre was opened in 1912. It was re-named Palaceum Cinema in the 1920’s. It retained the Palaceum name until at least 1937. Soon after it was re-named Kinema and was closed in 1938.

From 1952 to 1976 it was in use as a soap factory. It later was used by a haulage company and by 1997 the building was in use as the printers workshop. By 2017 it is Curves, a fitness club for women.

Opened 1912, closed 1938. A soap factory from 1952-1976, later a haulage firm occupied the building and then Aquatint printers by 1997, now Curves.
