The Palace Theater opened January 2, 1912. In a faded photograph of the Palace Theater can be seen a two aisle, drab auditorium. Seating was divided into three equal sections, and it looks as if there was also balcony seating. Slender fountain lighting fixtures divided fabric baffle boards along side walls. There appeared to be no stage drapery.

By 1941, the Palace Theater was listed in the Film Daily Yearbook with a seating capacity for 400. It was listed as (Closed) in 1943. In the 1950 edition of FDY the Palace Theater is still listed, but no seating capacity is given, so it may still have remained closed and their records had not been updated.

I would like to see a picture of the old Palace Theater in Hobart, Okla. However when I click on the link it denies access & will not let me register. Any idea on how I can view it?
