The Ritz Theatre was open in 1930 with seating listed at 616. It was remodelled in 1937 to the plans of architect W. Scott Dunne, reopening on August 5, 1937 as the New Ritz Theatre, operated by Robb & Rowley-United Inc. In its later years until its closing in the mid-1960’s it was operated by Rowley United Theatres Inc.
