Frontier Cinema

Frontier is a rather unique complex combining a cafe, art gallery, cinema, pub, chat room, and classroom in one section of the renovated Fort Andross mill complex, on the Androscoggin River at the north end of downtown Brunswick. The movie fare is a combination of foreign, art, documentary and first-run independent movies.

The cinema and other spaces were renovated using primarily recycled materials and leaving much of the walls in their raw condition. The walls make an artistic statement in themselves. The vintage seats were brought in from the old Biddeford Theatre. They also hold live performances as well, and the place sounds like a vibrant and interesting place well worth spending part of the day at.
