The Soledad Theatre opened in June, 1947, one of two new houses to open in the town of Soledad that year. It replaced an earlier Soledad Theatre located on Front Street.
The new Soledad Theatre featured a barrel-vaulted roof carried on laminated wood arches, and was designed in the popular Streamline Moderne style. The Soledad Theatre was in operation into the late-1980’s, but has since been converted to retail and office use.
