Located in the small town of Woodville, Mississippi the Fern Theatre was operating prior to 1941, and continued until at least 1950. Later renamed Joy Theatre, it was the main spot in that region for movies. It was owned by Associated Theatres out of New Orleans. R.J. Callen managed the circuit and booked for the small chain.

Not demolished, at least as of 2014. It’s on the south side of Main, 700 block. White plastered brick with 4 weird ‘spikes’ on the front. A scar is just visible where the marquee is missing. Looks long abandoned, marquee was already gone by 1981 when the state did a historic survey.
