Star Theatre

Built by Tom Virgona, the Star Theatre opened on 30th April, 1952 with two Fox films - “Inferno” screened in 3D, and “City of Bad Men”.

An unusual feature for its time was the stadium seating for the back stalls. The Star Theatre closed on 20th November 1962 with Disney’s “The Moonspinners”.
