The Air Vue Drive-In was open in 1960 with a capacity of 150 cars. It was operated thru 1969 by Statesville Theatre Corp. The Air Vue Drive-In was closed and demolished in 1976.

The Air-Vue Drive-in Theatre was located on Highway 13 (now Berkeley Blvd) at Adamsville Goldsboro, N.C.27530.
The location of this drive-in is now occupied by Ashley Plaza (Kmart) shopping center. Status should be Demolished.
The Air-Vue Drive-In was demolished around 1976, as the Ashley Plaza shopping center opened in 1977.
This drive-in was located at 201 N Berkeley Blvd. Goldsboro NC 27534.

The above address would be more precise. There is now an Advance Auto Parts store where the drive-in used to be. The 205 address is where the K-Mart is, but that is 750 feet too far west from where the drive-in was located.
I ran the projectors at the Air Vue in 1965 and 1966. I also worked with Mrs. Howard at The Box Office before changing jobs. The Box Office was located across the street from where the News-Argus is now. There was a prison located in that area at the time. The snack bar and parking was more along the area to the righ and rear of the parts store and those other stores. K-Mart area was farm land.
