The Casino Theatre opened at this site in 1914 with 350 seats. It was completely rebuilt and reopened at the Cinema Theatre on February 22, 1942. It was operated by Lazarus Theatres until its closing in 1953. The theatre could accomodate 1,250 patrons after its rebuilding in 1942. The theatre has since been demolshed and a Best Western Hotel built in its place.
