World Theatre

The Warren Theatre opened August 14, 1949. On December 25, 1950 it was renamed Campus Theatre. In 1965 it became a live theatre renamed Golden Horn Theatre.

It returned to movies from 1966 and was closed in 1972. On October 3, 1972 it reopened as the World Theatre.

This reopened as the Silver Theatre in 2015 with live shows and movies. Unfortunately the roof collapsed under the weight of snow in February 2017 and the theatre was closed and demolished.

Boxoffice, Sept. 2, 1974: “Bozeman, Mont.,-based Theatre Operators has taken over the operation of the old Golden Horn Theatre in Missoula, Mont. The facility is being completely rebuilt with new floors, new seating, new screen, new booth equipment, new front and new marquee. The theatre, which is scheduled for a mid-September reopening, will be known as the World Theatre.”
