Broadway Cinema

Located in Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire. The Broadway Cinema was originally the Memorial Hall, which opened in 1920, dedicated to soldiers of World War I. In 1930 it was converted into the Broadway Cinema. The manager and secretary was Ernest Pitt. It had rear projection from behind the screen.

The Broadway Cinema was closed on 31st December 1951 and was put up ‘For Sale’. The building was demolished in 1962 to make way for a parade of shops, which still remain today.
