Located in the potteries town of Tunstall, Staffordshire. The Regent Hall was built as an auction room which became a skating rink. It was taken over by George Barber in 1911, opening on Easter Monday as Barber’s Regent Cinema. Around 1930 it was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system.

The Regent Cinema was closed in 1959. In 1965 it was converted into the Golden Torch discotheque. The building was later badly damaged by a fire. The remains stood for several years until they were eventually demolished and housing was built on the site.
