Located in Guiseley, West Yorkshire, 9 miles northwest of Leeds. Films were first shown in a converted Wesleyan Chapel from 12th August 1912 until June 1913. The Picture Palace opened on 30th October 1913 with 700 seats, later 500. The hall was 64½ft long and 39½ft wide and the floor was raked. Sound came in July 1931 with the British Talking Pictures(BTP) system. On 2nd September 1949 it came under the control of District Cinemas Ltd. of Park Row, Leeds, operated by Eric Freedman and was renamed Plaza Cinema.

CinemaScope arrived on 13th March 1955 and the Plaza Cinema closed on 4th April 1959 with “No Time to Die”. The premises are now used for commercial purposes.
