Opening day ad.

Cinema 30 opened on October 16, 1970 with the film “On A Clear Day You Can See Forever” starring Barbra Streisand. It was a new concept (for the day) mini-theater. The theater was located in a strip mall type of shopping center between a Price Chopper Market and a liquor store. I worked there as a Projectionist until 1972, when I transferred to work in theaters in Albany NY.

I’m not sure when it closed. The present day picture shows a small red SUV parked in front of what used to be the theater.

I think this theater became a porn theater, my father said he was looking for a movie to go see in the paper and this theaters ad did not have movies listed it said to call for movies, so my father did and he said that the movies playing were x-rated.
