Located in Kilrush, County Clare. The Palace Theatre was built in 1920 and was run by P. Tubridy. It had a Napier sound system fitted and had 350 seats. In 1937 there was a screening of “The Dawn” reputedly the greatest film to feature Ireland’s fight for freedom with an all Irish cast. It is believed to have closed down when Tubridy opened the Mars Cinema in the town in 1950.
